OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Dora Bakoyannis: â€œWe should strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheresâ€

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, APA reports. Elmar Mammadyarov said at the press conference after the meeting that the sides had discussed OSCEâ€™s activity, settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
â€œI have informed OSCE Chairperson-in-Office about Azerbaijanâ€™s position. We also discussed bilateral cooperation between Greece and Azerbaijan. The relations improved more after Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyevâ€™s visit to Greece. A number of agreements were reached on energy issues and beginning from this year Azerbaijanâ€™s gas is exported to Greece. We should continue discussions to improve this cooperation more,â€ he said.

OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Dora Bakoyannis said the relations between Azerbaijan and Greece were improving.
â€œWe had interesting discussion with Elmar Mammadyarov, exchanged views on OSCE, Greece-Azerbaijan relations. Last week we organized the meeting of ministers in Greece to deepen European security issues. We also discussed the outcomes of that meeting. The Presidentâ€™s visit to Athens is the main factor of improving the relations between our countries. There are improvements in energy, commerce and banking and cooperation is also possible in other fields. Turkey-Greece-Italy pipeline is one of the important projects for us. Progress has been made in these issues,â€ she said.
