The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Monitoring Committee called on the Azerbaijani Parliament to address the Venice Commission to receive legal opinion about the proposals on the NGO draft law before making amendments. The Monitoring Committee recommended to receive the Venice Commission’s opinion about the amendments to the law on freedom of faith as well.
Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Chairman of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers and PACE President expressed concern over the amendments to the laws on NGO and freedom of faith in Azerbaijan.
