Intergovernmental documents to be signed during Israeli presidentâ€™s visit to Azerbaijan

A number of intergovernmental documents will be signed during a visit of Israeli president Shimon Peres to Azerbaijan on June 28-29, 2009, Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Arthur Lenk told journalists, APA reports. The ambassador didnâ€™t give details about the documents. â€œIt is not a matter. The main point is that Israel and Azerbaijan discuss the issues important for both countries. It is not important that the documents will be signed whether in the field of education or healthcare, it is only a sheet of paper. The important point is in the talks between the friends, which led Israeli-Azerbaijani relations forward. I hope that President Peresâ€™ visit to Azerbaijan will lead the relations forwardâ€.

Israeli President Shimon Peres will arrive in Azerbaijan on June 28 for two-day visit. It is first visit of Israeli president to Azerbaijan. Israeli business people, ministers of trade, science and energy will accompany him during a visit. The president scheduled to hold the number of official meetings, to visit one of the universities and to meet with the members of Jewish community in Azerbaijan.
