Zbignew Ribatski: â€œWe are satisfied with the conformation of Azerbaijani armed forces with the NATO standardsâ€

Ribatski said Azerbaijan began to elaborate its renewed development plan with NATO last year. The executive officer said Azerbaijan was carrying out this development plan in the necessary level. He said defense field took special place in the Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation. â€œWe are working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Border Service and other organizations as well. The military forces can work together within this framework. NATO attaches special attention to the cooperation between the partner countries. Azerbaijan is one of the particular contributors in this fieldâ€.

Ribatski specially emphasized the role of Azerbaijan in ISAF.

â€œThe conformation of the Azerbaijani armed forces with the NATO standards is very long process. Azerbaijan is doing much work in this field. We are satisfied with the resultsâ€, said the NATO executive officer.
