Ambassador Hulusi Kilic: The whole world witnessed that Turkey would never leave Azerbaijan

The guest of the meeting with Azerbaijani political analysts and experts was Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic. Head of the center Elkhan Nuriyev said the relations between Azerbaijan were developing, strengthening and extending. Hulusi Kilic expressed his views on various fields of the cooperation between the two countries. The ambassador called the political relations perfect and touched on military cooperation.
“Azerbaijan has the strongest army in the Caucasus. Azerbaijan’s strength is our strength,” he said.
Speaking about the economic relations, Kilic said trade turnover reached $3 billion, 600 Turkish companies were operating in Azerbaijan and the figure would increase. Speaking about the energy cooperation Hulusi Kilic expressed his confidence that the issue on the price of the gas sold by Azerbaijan to Turkey would be solved soon. The diplomat said Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway would be operational in 2011, the railway would make it available to travel from Beijing to London. Touching on humanitarian cooperation the ambassador said 3000 Azerbaijanis were studying in Turkey, 4500 Turkish students were studying in Azerbaijan. Answering the questions of the local experts Hulusi Kilic said Turkey’s aim was the release of the occupied territories.
“Those who do not like us attempted to create cold relations between the two brotherly countries, but Prime Minister’s visit put an end to this. The whole world witnessed that Turkey would never leave Azerbaijan,” he said.
