Reforms by Ilham Aliyev will make Azerbaijan more powerful and competitiveness - AmCham

“As a members of American Chamber of Commerce we realize difficulties, but at the same time, we are delighted to see Azerbaijan and its leadership working hard to find the right way in order to conduct economic reforms, diversify the economy and develop the non-oil sector. We appreciate and welcome these works. Mr. President, the business community of the American Chamber of Commerce has always been among those who support you. We welcome economic reforms and are delighted to see taking of measures on economic privatization, simplification of customs service, promotion of the best international experience, paying more attention to the transparency, financial reporting, combating corruption and other positive initiatives. These measures will undoubtedly will have positive impact on Azerbaijan’s successes”, Veliyev said.

Veliyev thanked head of the state for continuous support for the business community of the Chamber: “We can give examples about solution of several disputed issues after you direct intervention and the business community highly appreciates it. I would also like to note that we are closely working with the aide on economic reforms. We are satisfied with this cooperation”.

The President of the Chamber has also welcomed Azerbaijan’s road map on mid and long-term development.

“We welcome and appreciate the reforms under your leadership. We believe that Azerbaijan will be powerful and competitiveness country as a result of these reforms. Both local and foreign companies stand by you. We support you and see as a guarantor of continuation of these reforms”, Veliyev said.
