Baku. Yegane Lachinzade – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2016 the deposits in Azerbaijan-based credit organizations made AZN 23,463.1 mln, up AZN 8,009,700,000 or 51.83% compared to a year earlier. Compared to November, the deposits rose AZN 5,864.2 mln or 33.32% in December.
AZN 9,473.9 mln or 40.4% of deposits were household savings. The savings soared AZN 285.5 mln or 31.8% year-on-year.
At the same time, legal entities’ deposits stood at AZN 13,989.2 mln, up AZN 5,724.2 mln or 69.3% from a year ago.
In legal entities’ deposits, AZN 6,358.8 mln or 45.46% belonged financial organizations, AZN 7,630.4 mln or 54.54% - to non-financial organizations.
4,236.5 mln or 18.3% of deposits are in manat, 19,226.6 mln or 81.7% in foreign currency.
