IMF ready to render technical assistance to reforms of Azerbaijan conducted in insurance-pension system

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Chairman of the State Social Protection Fund Salim Muslumov received the IMF delegation.

The meeting focused on the works conducted in recent years in insurance-pension system of Azerbaijan. Muslumov noted that the main goal for the near future was to strengthen the financial flows of the Fund through the registration of social insurance payers and legalization of wages.

Touching upon the significant achievements in collection of compulsory state social insurance premiums, Muslumov said in order to eliminate the problems in this field, the Fund conducted joint work with the relevant state bodies.

Head of IMF delegation Raja Almarzogi said the IMF always ready to back the reforms of the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan realized in the direction of establishment of insurance-pension system, which meets the international standards.

Then the meeting continued with discussion of technical assistance by the IMF.
