French President Emmanuel Macron strongly condemned the unrest organized by radicals during protests across the country and promised to punish all those responsible for the criminal actions on X account, APA reports.
"There is no place for violence in our republic. Those who participated in the pogroms, attacked prefectures and stores, and robbed everything, including [the property] of our city halls, will be prosecuted and punished," he wrote. The president emphasized that the organizers of the unrest are preventing peaceful demonstrators from conveying their demands and expressed support for law enforcement officers, whom he called "guarantors of the right to demonstrate."
