The statement says: “The Central Bank says that banks’ demand for both cash and non-cash currency has been met and there are sufficient currency reserves to meet new demands. Banks’ branches and departments, as well as currency exchange departments are selling foreign currency. At the same time, we notice that in order to meet the demand of population and economic entities for foreign currency, banks’ branches, departments and currency exchange departments operate normally and will operate on Sundays too.
Some banks’ branches and departments do not operate and this is related to their internal working schedule.
Central Bank controls currency market and regularly conducts monitoring”.
