Azerbaijani insurers collect AZN 420M in three quarters

Baku. Yegane Lachinzade – APA-Economics. In January-October 2016, Azerbaijan-based 25 insurers collected AZN 420 million insurance premiums, up AZN 41 million or 11% from previous year.

According to the Financial Markets Supervisory Authority, the insurance payments amounted to AZN 191 million, up 36% in comparison to a year earlier. Premiums on voluntary insurance types increased 15%, payments – 38%.

Premiums on compulsory insurance types rose 4% to AZN 148 million, payments – 30% to AZN 47 million.
