Baku. Yegane Lachinzade - APA-Economics. 79,683 contracts on compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners were registered in Azerbaijan in October 2016, down 1.5% from previous year, Compulsory Insurance Bureau of Azerbaijan (CIB) said.
CIB says 9,975 of these cars were registered in the foreign country and entered in Azerbaijan for transit.
Insurance premiums on these contracts made over AZN 6.5 mln, down 1% in comparison with 2015.
Average insurance premium on compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners rose 1.2% to AZN 82.4.
In January-October 2016, 870,047 contracts were signed on compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners, up 5.2% from 2015. Total premiums on these contracts made up AZN 69.6 million, up 7% in comparison with 2015.
