Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. AZN 116.5 mln or 26.3% of the insurance premiums collected in 2015 came from life insurance, up 10.9% from previous year, said the head of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov.
About 59.3% or AZN 69 mln of premiums on life insurance came from endowment insurance, 26.3% or AZN 30.7 mln from insurance against accidents at work, 13.1% or AZN 15.3 mln from death insurance, 1% or AZN 1.2 mln from insurance of working ability, 0.3% or AZN 326,000 from insurance against incurable diseases.
Insurance payments on life insurance made AZN 52.2 mln or 29% of total payments (up 1.8 times from 2014).
91.7% or AZN 47.9 mln of payments went to endowment insurance, 4.2% or AZN 2.2 to death insurance, 4.1% or AZN 2.1 mln to insurance against accidents at work, and AZN 14,000 to insurance against incurable diseases.
AZN 44.8 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium in the reporting period, while it was AZN 27.2 in 2014.
