Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev received the IMF mission.
Mustafayev spoke about Azerbaijan’s economy and its achievements. He noted that strong political and macro economic stability, durable and sustainable economic development was provided in the country; share of private sector in GDP exceeded 80%; favorable business and investment climate was created and the country became investment exporter.
Mustafayev gave information about industrialization policy, as well as the projects implemented in agriculture, ICT, transport, tourism, alternative energy and etc spheres.
In turn, newly appointed IMF mission head on Azerbaijan Raja Almarzogi noted that the measures taken in Azerbaijan to maintain economic stability and provide dynamic economic development are watched by the IMF with great interest. He noted the importance of continuation of such reforms.
The meeting also discussed the forecasts for 2013, increasing the share of non-oil sector in GDP and etc.
