Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. As of March 1, 2016, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 7,411,600,000, down AZN 56.6 mln or 0.76% from previous year.
Central Bank of Azerbaijan said foreign liabilities fell AZN 974.3 mln or 11.62% in February.
At the same time, compared to December 2015, banks’ total foreign liabilities increased AZN 181.4 mln or 2.21% in January 2016.
At the same time, as of March 1, 2016, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 7,350.4 mln, up AZN 3.181 bln or 1.76 times in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous months, total foreign assets declined AZN 659.1 mln or 8.23% in February.
