Baku. Yegane Lachinzade – APA-Economics. AZN 98.5 mln or 26% of the insurance premiums collected in the January-October of 2015 came from life insurance, up 16% from previous year, said the head of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov.
About 58.6% or AZN 57.7 mln of premiums on life insurance came from endowment insurance, 28.4% or AZN 28 mln from insurance against accidents at work, 11.6% or AZN 11.4 mln from death insurance, 1.1% or AZN 1 mln from insurance of working ability, 0.3% or AZN 362,000 from insurance against incurable diseases.
Insurance payments on life insurance made AZN 35.6 mln or 25.4% of total payments (up 39.5% from 2014).
89% or AZN 31.7 mln of payments went to endowment insurance, 5.5% or AZN 1.95 to insurance against accidents at work, 5.5% or AZN 1.95 mln to death insurance, and AZN 13,700 to insurance against incurable diseases.
AZN 36.1 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium in the reporting period, while it was AZN 30.1 in 2014.
