Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. AZN 281 mln or 63.4% of insurance premiums collected in 2015 came from voluntary insurance types, down 1.3% from previous year, Azerbaijan Insurers Association told APA-Economics.
Premiums on compulsory insurance types stood at AZN 161.9 mln or 36.6% of market, up 12.1% from previous year.
75.4% or AZN 135.8 mln of payments went to voluntary types, up 18.4% by contrast to a year earlier. Compulsory insurance payments rose 4.8% to AZN 44.4 mln or 24.6% of total market.
AZN 48.3 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium from voluntary types during the reporting period. This figure was AZN 40.3 last year. Payment for each AZN 100 on compulsory insurance types fell from AZN 29.4 to AZN 27.4.
