Baku. Yegane Lachinzade - APA-Economics. AZN 236.1 mln or 62.3% of insurance premiums collected in January-October 2015 came from voluntary insurance types, up 2.9% from previous year, chairman of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov told APA-Economics.
Premiums on compulsory insurance types stood at AZN 142.8 mln or 37.7% of market, up 12.9% from previous year.
74.1% or AZN 103.8 mln of payments went to voluntary types, up 7.3% by contrast to a year earlier. Compulsory insurance payments rose 4.6% to AZN 36.2 mln or 25.9% of total market.
AZN 44 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium from voluntary type during the reporting period. This figure was AZN 42.2 last year. Payment for each AZN 100 on compulsory insurance type fell to AZN 25.4 from AZN 27.4.
