In the first half of this year, Azerbaijan’s investments in Israel reached USD 542 million, said Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department of CBA, during a press conference at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), APA-Economics reports.
He noted that the main reason was Azerbaijan’s investment in Israel’s Tamar gas project in the Mediterranean Sea. The majority of the investment is related to this.
It should be noted that as a result, Israel became the top country in terms of Azerbaijani investments during the first half of this year.
