The Central Bank has joined the International Network on Financial Education of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD-INFE) as a full member, APA-Economics reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

It was noted that within the framework of this membership, the Central Bank has gained a  right to participate in the network’s working groups on “Financial Literacy Standards: Implementation and Evaluation,” “Digital Financial Literacy,” and “Financial Literacy and Sustainable Finance,” to be directly involved in the development of internationally prepared policy documents, and to also gain access to the existing policy document database. Thus, the Central Bank will have the opportunity to regularly familiarize itself with advanced practices and approaches.

"It was noted that the mentioned developments will contribute to the Central Bank’s implementation of financial literacy programs in accordance with international standards, ensuring data accessibility, and generally expanding financial inclusion."

Note that the OECD-INFE is a platform that promotes cooperation among regulators and other participants worldwide on financial education issues. This network collects internationally comparable data, conducts policy analysis, and develops policy tools.
