Azerbaijan restructures State Committee for Securities

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev. The process of restructuring the Azerbaijan State Committee for Securities is about to be completed, a source in the government told APA.
Azerbaijanâ€™s President signed an order for the restructuring of the State Committee for Securities (formerly known as the State Committee for Securities under the President of Azerbaijan) on November 19, 2008.
The draft has been submitted to the relevant state structures for approval.
The order provides for the restructuring of the State Committee on Securities as a move to improve the governance structure in Azerbaijan and in compliance with Paragraph 7 of Article 109 of the Constitution.
The Cabinet of Ministers had been instructed to prepare and present to the head of state within one month the statute draft of the State Committee, the proposed structure, cost estimates and staff, as well as proposals on the conformity of the legal normative acts to the order.
