Royal Bank of Baku to issue MasterCard cards this year

Baku. Elnur Huseynquluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Royal Bank of Baku plans to begin issuing MasterCard cards by the end of this year.
Farid Hasanov, plastic cards officer of the bank, said 4 000 cards will be issued through AzeriCard Processing Center for the first batch.
Cards are being designed by AustriaCard office in Baku. Her also said that the bank predicts to get a 17.5 times rose in the number of active plastic cards to 21 000 at the year-end from 6 000 in early this year.
As of October 1, Royal Bank of Bakuâ€™s assets stood at AZN 100.473 million, loan portfolio at AZN 77.160, deposit portfolio at AZN 34.387 million, total capital at AZN 19.412 million and authorized capital at AZN 16.912 million.
At present the bank operates 26 ATMs and 79 POS terminals across the country. Royal Bank of Baku was established by a U.S. citizen in 1993 as OZ Bank which was renamed in 2003.
