USD cash transactions rose 35% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. The cash exchange transactions in the UD dollar reached $3 621 941 100 in Azerbaijan during January-August, up 35.3% on the same period last year.
Of this, $2 589 652 600 was selling and $1 032 288 500 was buying transactions, said the National Bank of Azerbaijan said
Selling transactions exceeded buying transactions by 2.5 times.
Cash exchange transactions in the UD dollar have showed uptrend in recent years.

The US dollar is still viewed as the steady saving currency by the population.
46% of bank deposits were made in dollar.
