Brazil to negotiate with Azerbaijan on WTO accession

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Brazil has expressed its intention to hold negotiations with Baku on the Azerbaijanâ€™s WTO accession efforts, said Mahmud Mammedguliev the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
According to him, it is unknown yet on what fields Brazil intends to hold talks.
"Perhaps, negotiations will be held on exportation of Azerbaijan tropical products to Azerbaijan and services. By the way, we are already negotiating with Ecuador on this issue,â€ he added.
He also said that new proposals and questions were received from the WTO member states.
"Currently, we are preparing the answers. Also, proposals on goods and services are being prepared. These will be submitted to the WTO secretariat after completion. Then, bilateral talks and a meeting of the working part will take place," he noted.
Azerbaijan was granted the WTO observer status in 1997.
