Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Securities has held a board meeting dedicated to outcomes of January-September, 2012.

Delivering keynote speech at the meeting, Chairman of the Committee Rufat Aslanli gave information about the current situation of world economy within 9 months of 2012, said that global growth rate had weakened in the background of slow recovery of the world’s leading economies.

He noted that Azerbaijani economy grew by 1.1% during 9 months of 2012. Moreover, as a result of the complex measures, 10.3% of growth fell to share of non-oil sector.

Committee Chairman added that processes in securities market lasted within 9 months of 2012 in the background of anti-inflation monetary policy and variability of a number of structural factors: ‘During the reporting period, in compariosn to last year, securities market grew by 34% to AZN 8.2 bln’.

Thereafter, deputy chairmen of committee and head of administration made speeches on execution situation of strategic action plans and measures taken by structural sectors on curations during 9 months of 2012. The participators were informed about improvement of normative-legal base during the reporting period, strengthening of SCS’s international links and measures taken on organization on increase of knowledge on markets in the public.

Summarizing the meeting Aslanli assessed the 9months as productive for the Committee and brought the main priorities of structural sectors for next period to notice. He gave tasks on completion of measures included in State Program on development of Security market (2011-2020) by the end of this year, acceleration of works on Capital markets development project, organization of works on Twinning program, application of e-services in the committee. Aslanli gave concrete tasks on fulfillment of National Action Plan on Open Government Initiative for 2012-2015 and National Action Plan on Combating Corruption for 2012-2015.
