Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Netherlands increases by 42% during last 7 years

Baku. Anakhanım Hidoyatova - APA-Economics. More than 50% of the export from Azerbaijan fell on share of EU countries, and it shows that Azerbaijan is main partner of the EU, Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev said, APA reports.

To him, Azerbaijan pays serious attention to relations with Netherlands: ‘Especially during the past years, ties between Netherlands and Azerbaijan developed successfully. I am sure that the visit of Dutch Deputy Prime Minister Maxime Verhagen will stimulate the development of bilateral relations and cooperation’.

The minister noted that at present, the volume of Dutch investment in Azerbaijan makes $365 mln: ‘During the last 7 years, trade turnover between the two countries rose 42%, as well as import grew by 12.5%, export – 29%. Azerbaijan and Netherlands may widen relations in different spheres – tourism, construction, water usage, agriculture, alternative energy sector’.
