Bank of Azerbaijan posts 31% year-on-year rise in assets

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of Octobr 1, Bank of Azerbaijan posted its assets at AZN 144.531 million, up 31% from a year ago.

Deposit portfolio increased by 41.7% to AZN 60.219 million, loan portfolio rose by 23.4% to AZN 111.204 million, total equity capital went down by 6.8% to AZN 19.270 million and authorized capital stock grew by 2.7% to AZN 15 million.

Consumer lending fell by 6.8% to AZN 14.777 million.

The bank launched 3 ATMs and 42 POS terminals over the past one year.

Owned by NEM Holding and two individuals, Bank of Azerbaijan has been in operation since 1993. It operates 16 branches, 26 ATMs and 147 POS terminals across the country.
