Saudi Fund for Development seeks cooperation with Azerbaijan

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-ECONOMICS. Gulmammadov Javadov, Azerbaijanâ€™s Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy, has met with the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Fahd bin Ali al-Dusari.

The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of energy and other issues of mutual concern, said the ministry.

The ambassador said at the meeting that the Saudi Fund for Development which has to date invested $140 billion in 75 countries, takes interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan and increasing its role in the development of the country.

Gulmammadov Javadov informed the ambassador of the ongoing local and regional projects, the energy potential of the country, as well as the planned measures to promote alternative sources of energy.
