Azerbaijan sees total assets grow in banking system

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of May 1, Azerbaijan-based commercial banksâ€™ assets stood at AZN 8 999.2 million, up 17.3% or AZN 1 327 million from a year ago, said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

However, bank assets dropped by 12.4% or AZN 1 274.3 million during January-April.

According to statistics, assets fell by AZN 190.4 million in January, AZN 604 million in February and $664.1 million in March but increased by AZN 184.2 million in April.
