Short-term deposits decrease in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev - APA-Economics. As of May 1, deposits for 1 to 5 years account for 38.8% of total deposits in Azeri banks, up 11.4% from January 1, 2009, said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

The total deposit portfolio grew by 13% year-on-year to AZN 3 205.2 million.

With an increase in term deposits for 1 to 5 years, the share of deposits for a period of up to one month dropped to 16.1% from 39.6%.
