Azerbaijan Industry Insurance gets 2.4 times rise in premiums

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan Industry Insurance earned AZN 1.147 million in insurance premiums during January-April, up 2.4 times on the same period last year.

The company said payment for insurance claims dropped by 19% to AZN 118.792 million.

Premiums came AZN 347 700 from cargo insurance, AZN 168 500 from property insurance, AZN 156 100 from health insurance and AZN 154 400 from compulsory fire insurance.

Payments most went to insurance claims for cargo insurance (AZN 81 900) and motor insurance (AZN 22 700),

Owned by Azerbaijan Industry Bank, the company has been in operation since 1996.
