Baku-APA. Two kidnapped workers were released in eastern Turkey by the members of the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK), said a Turkish official statement on Friday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

After three days of abduction, the two kidnapped workers were freed by the PKK organization at Pulumur town of Tunceli, said the statement.

A group of PKK terrorists on Monday kidnapped six people and burned five vehicles in Tunceli province, local media reported.

The PKK, listed as a terrorist group by Turkey and some other countries, took up arms in 1984 to create an ethnic homeland for the Kurds in southeastern Turkey. More than 40,000 people have been killed in conflicts involving the PKK.
