Baku-APA. Turkey's top leaders on Wednesday strongly condemned Egyptian security forces' crackdown on the supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi, Turkish Anadolu Agency reported, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Egyptian security forces' armed intervention against the supporters of Morsi was "completely unacceptable."

Meanwhile, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on the UN Security Council and Arab League to take immediate steps to stop the "massacre" in Egypt.

Erdogan slammed the international community for doing nothing on the Egyptian authorities' violent crackdown.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu also placed diplomatic calls and discussed the Egyptian incident with some of his colleagues, the report said.

Turkey is one of the few countries which strongly condemned what it called an "unacceptable coup" after Egyptian military ousted Morsi and called for restoring democracy in Egypt.

At least 15 people were killed and 203 others were injured in confrontations between supporters of Morsi and security forces during the dispersing operation that started early Wednesday at two major squares in Egypt.
