Baku. Faig Mahmudov – APA. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras agreed in a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel to discuss new proposals from creditors in order to possibly ease the economic situation in the country, Greece’s Naftemporiki news agency reported.
Greece failed to make a loan repayment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in June, effectively defaulting on its IMF debt.
The country is struggling to repay its $350-billion debt, seeking to restructure its obligations and negotiate better conditions for repayment with its major international creditors.
