Hurricane-force winds in the Nizhny Novgorod region caused the collapse of part of a building, killing a girl. Arzamas Mayor Alexander Shchelokov wrote about this on VKontakte, APA reports.
"We are recording numerous power outages following hurricane-force winds and fallen trees in Arzamas and other villages in the district. <…> A girl died in the village of Vyezdnoye. Building structures fell on the roof of a house," Shchelokov said, offering his condolences to the family and friends.
According to him, teams of specialists are preparing for restoration work. "It's already clear that additional resources will be needed," Shchelokov clarified.
