Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyyhas confirmed that he spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump, saying there is a real chance to end the war, APA reports citing RBC Ukraine.
Zelenskyy began by congratulating Trump and all Americans on the 250th anniversary of US independence. According to the president, the two leaders had a productive phone conversation.
"We are grateful to the United States for all the assistance it has provided, from Javelins and Patriots to political support, and we deeply appreciate that America stands with us in defending our independence. I am grateful to every American who cares about the future of Ukraine, Europe, and everyone around the world for whom freedom matters," he said.
