Baku – APA. A skirmish occurred between Turkish soldiers and ISIL militants in Kilis province, on the Turkish-Syria border.
APA reports quoting Milliyet that a fire opened from the area under the control of ISIL to Turkish soldiers guarding the border with Syria in Elbeyli, Kilis. Consequently, 1 soldier was killed, 2 wounded.
The incident was reportedly occurred while a group of ISIL members attempted to cross the Turkish border and the soldiers, who did not allow the terrorists to enter the country, were fired from large-caliber weapons. Turkish servicemen opened retaliation fire and 1 ISIL militant was killed.
Additional forces have been deployed to the Turkish - Syrian border.
