Commemorating events include state and governmental celebrations as well as many ceremonies, concerts and marches all over the country.
Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski laid flowers at the monument to Marshal Jozef Pilsudski and attended a mass celebrated at Warsaw's St. John's Arch-See.
The main event of the presidential ceremonies marking the 96th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence will be an afternoon march following a special changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The march led by President Komorowski will pass through the historical streets of Warsaw. President will lay flowers at a number of monuments to outstanding Polish freedom fighters situated on the route of the march.
