A PKK terror attack on Monday killed one villager and injured four others in Turkey's eastern province of Bitlis, local governor's office said, APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.
The attack took place when a group of villagers were reportedly gathering firewood, said the statement issued by Bitlis Governor's office.
The injured civilians were rushed to a nearby hospital, it added.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its decades-long armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including a number of women and children.
