Name of New Georgian FM announced

APA’s Georgia bureau reports that the new minister was introduced by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

According to the prime minister, Tamar Beruchashvili deeply knows the country’s direction of foreign policy: “Europe’s choice is the Georgian people’s choice. And I hope Tamar Beruchashvili will contribute to this affair. She has 22-year experience in state and diplomatic areas. With her great experience, she will also contribute to the process of Georgia’s integration to Europe. I would like to wish her good luck in this way”.

Note that, prior to her election as foreign minister, T. Beruchashvili was deputy foreign minister. On November 4, she resigned together with Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze but changed her mind soon and stayed in her post after a talk with Irakli Garibashvili.
