Baku-APA. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Federica Mogherini, the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, are holding talks in Munich, APA reports quoting TASS.
The meeting is taking place ahead of the International Syria Support Group consultations to be held later on Thursday after a series of bilateral talks of the foreign ministers of the group’s member states.
The International Syria Support Group held its last meeting in Vienna on November 14. It was attended by delegations of 19 countries, including Russia, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iraq, Italy, Egypt, Britain, Germany, Lebanon, Qatar, Iran, France, China, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Oman.
EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini; U.N. Special Envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura and a League of Arab States (LAS) representative also took part in the consultations.
