He noted that Georgia must act in this regard basing on its national interests: “It’s normal that Georgia is seeking alternative energy sources. Iran is ready to cooperate with Georgia in energy sphere and export gas to Georgia for domestic consumption and transportation to Europe”.
The ambassador added that routes for transportation of Iranian gas to Europe are being considered: “One of these routes is Azerbaijan. Armenia also offered their opportunities. Moreover, gas transportation via swap arrangement is also being considered”.
