62.50% voted. More than 61% of Greeks voted “no” in Sunday’s referendum on austerity measures and other overhauls that European and International Monetary Fund officials had demanded in recent talks. So, the final result is No: 61.31%, and Yes with 38.69%.

Prime minister Alexis Tsipras said that Greece “has proved that democracy cannot be blackmailed; Greece has made a brave choice and one which will change the debate in Europe.

In a TV address, Tsipras has also vowed to begin negotiations with creditors to reach a sustainable deal to tackle Greece’s debt crisis.

Creditors’ plan implied more spending cuts and tax increases, elimination of tax exemptions, reduction in social payments. Greece has received nearly 240 billion euros in two bailouts from the European Union and International Monetary Fund since 2010.
