APA reports quoting from Georgia’s “Rezonansi” newspaper that the main reason is stated to be the possibility that German citizens traveling to this country can face threat from terrorists and criminal elements.
“There is still great threat of terrorism and theft. State and administrative buildings, transportation, economic and tourist facilities, hotels, places of worship and embassies are likely targets for the attack,” says statement of the German Foreign Ministry.
German citizens are recommended not to visit South Ossetia and Abkhazia either. These countries are shown to be criminally dangerous. The German Foreign Ministry especially calls its citizens not to enter South Ossetia and Abkhazia from Russia.
Along with Georgia, South Sudan, Libya, Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, and Yemen are also included in the German Foreign Ministry’s “black list”
Commenting on the matter, Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani said there’s nothing to be concerned about in the German Foreign Ministry’s call, noting that this assessment relies on the existing criminal state in the conflict zones.
