Baku-APA. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius on Saturday called for a political solution to the ongoing tension in Ukraine, with Crimea as the epicenter, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
"France is deeply concerned by reports in Crimea, which demonstrates significant movements of armed forces," Fabius said in a statement.
"We urge all parties to refrain from actions that could increase tensions and harm Ukraine's territorial integrity," the French top diplomat said.
In order to achieve a political solution to the crisis in Ukraine, Paris was "in close negotiation with Ukrainian and Russian authorities, as well as our principal partners," added Fabius.
