EU imposes sanctions on another 19 Russian, Ukrainian citizens
Among them is Zaur Ismayilov, the Azerbaijani “Prosecutor General” of the separatist Luhansk People’s Republic
Baku – APA. The new wave of sanctions imposed by the European Union on Feb.5 against some Russian citizens and separatists in Ukraine has entered into force. According to 112.ua, the sanctions imposed on 19 individuals and 9 legal entities were announced in the EU’s official magazine.
5 of them are Russian citizens – Russian deputy defense ministers Anatoly Antonov and Arkadi Bakhin, head of the main operational department of Russian military's General Staff Andrey Kartopolov, State Duma deputy, communist Valery Rashkin and famous singer Iosif Kobzon.
The list also includes 14 representatives of the Donetsk and Luhansk separatists. Among them is Zaur Ismayilov, the Azerbaijani “Prosecutor General” of the separatist Luhansk People’s Republic.
The sanctions are meant to ban these persons from traveling to EU countries and freeze their assets in EU countries (if there are any).
With the latest decision, the number of Russian and Ukrainian citizens on whom sanctions were imposed has reached 151, and that of legal entities 37.
