Deputy State Minister of Georgia meet with Azerbaijani students in Marneuli

Georgia. Nizami Mammadzadeh – APA. First Deputy State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration David Dondua has today met with Azerbaijani students and members of the Marneuli Youth Center (MYC).

According to APA’s Georgia bureau, the meeting took place under the initiative of the NATO and European Union Regional Information Centre in the city of Marneuli where Azerbaijanis compactly live.

Along with David Dondua, Director of the NATO and European Union Regional Information Centre Elena Gotsadze, Estonian Ambassador to Georgia Prit Turg, and European Union Project Manager Oliver Raisner also made speeches during the meeting. They emphasized the importance of strengthening the NATO awareness in the Georgian regions where Azerbaijanis compactly live. They also said Georgia’s accession to the EU will provide new opportunities and open European market for it.

At the end of the meeting, the NATO and European Union Regional Information Centre and the MYC have signed a memorandum. The document was signed by Elena Gotsadze and Director of the MYC Rena Nurmammadova.
