Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. “The Minsk protocol is still the main document to regulate the situation in Ukraine”.
Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) Thorbjørn Jagland made this statement at a joint briefing with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the APA correspondent to Moscow reported.
“We discussed the situation in Ukraine with Mr. Sergei Lavrov. It’s not time to construct new walls 25 years after the Berlin Wall was brought down. We must try to reduce tension in the conflict zone and restore talks. The Minsk protocol is the sole mechanism we can use to reach the goal,” said the CoE secretary general.
