Baku-APA. Seven boats with at least 144 immigrants on board have had to be rescued off the various points of the Spanish coast in the past few hours, but 12 people are still reported missing, Spanish government sources confirmed, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The boats, which tend to be flimsy craft which are powered by an outboard motor, where rescued by various units of the Guardia Civil's Maritime force off the coast of Almeria in the southeast of Spain, Montril, which is close to Malaga as well as off the coast of Lanzarote, which is one of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on the coast of North Africa.
