Ukraine has managed to defend its state and independence. As of now, the country is closer to peace than ever in almost three years of full-scale war, stated President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the Associated Press, APA reports.
"We are fighting, we are living, we are doing everything to bring peace closer. We are closer to it than ever during these three years of war. We have defended our state, independence, country, capital, and many different cities and villages. Unfortunately, we lost many people. I am very proud of our heroic people. Who could have imagined all this? No one. Who could have known about all this, about all these consequences? No one," the president said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that "we must do everything" to ensure that life in Ukraine stabilizes and that all Ukrainians have peace.
"I think this is the most important thing," he added.
